How to Change a Contestant's Status
Each contestant in a discipline has its own status, which tells Twirlmate how to handle them during scheduling and tabulation.
For contestants in a discipline that does not belong to an all-around or pageant, there are 5 possible statuses:
active (the default status, meaning the contestant's score/place will be included during tabulation)
scratched (the contestant will not be performing at all, meaning they'll be excluded/removed during scheduling and tabulation)
disqualified (the contestant performed but demonstrated an illegal move/behavior, meaning their score/place will be excluded during tabulation)
no-show (the contestant did not perform, meaning there is no place/score to include for tabulation)
comments-only (the contestant performed but requested for their score/place to be excluded from tabulation)
Here's how to change a contestant's status.
1. Find the contestant
Under the {Year} Results section of the left side navigation, visit the Disciplines page. Click the name of the discipline for the contestant in question. Next, locate their division and click the division name. On the division page, find the contestant's name in the contestants table.
2. Edit their status
In the contestant's table row, click the three-dot menu on the right side of the table. You will see a list of available actions, including one to "Edit Status". Clicking the Edit Status button will open a pop-up window where you can choose the new status. Before saving the change, you may choose to enter a brief comment explaining the status update.
3. Other places to edit their status
You can also edit a contestant's status from a master scoresheet's pace, via the actions menu of the contestants table. Or, you can modify their status on the contestant scoresheet page, on the right side of the page above their vitals.
4. Effects of status changes
Note: if a contestant already has scores or a placement and you change their status from active to anything else, this will result in their scores/place being cleared and the final placement results will be retabulated.
If you accidentally deactivate a contestant, you can revert their status to active, which will restore them to the list of contestants for tabulation.
