About
In 1960, Victor Faber founded the World Twirling Association. He left his mark on the sport of baton twirling by founding two twirling organizations and for being the only person in his field to lead a twirling organization who had been a championship baton twirler.
My Faber retired in 1980 and since then Nancy Hespe has been the director of the organization. Prior to that time, she had twirled, taught, and judged for Victor. So she had the perfect background to head up the World Twirling Association the next thirty-four years...and still counting!
Headquarters in northwestern Ohio, Nancy has expanded the organization by traveling to many areas to offer many clinics and contests, some as far away as Iowa and Belgium. She encourages and welcomes suggestions, as state in the WTA philosophy, "Together, we can continue to promote and develop the sport of baton twirling."
