Overview

Description

In Two Baton, a contestant performs with two batons and must keep them both moving at all times, either in like patterns or direction, opposing patterns or directions, or in concert with each other. "Like patterns" consist of both batons spinning vertically or horizontally. "Like directions" consist of both batons spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise. "Opposing patterns" consist of one baton spinning vertically while the other spins horizontally, or both batons spinning vertically but perpendicular to each other (e.g., one to the front and another to the side). Both male and female athletes usually compete together, with a few exceptions (such as national championships).
