Description
Half-Time Show Drill Team is a traditional majorette routine, choreographed to personal choice of music. The main focus is marching and maneuvering to the musical phrases, tempo and rhythm. Particular emphasis should be given throughout the routine to marching & maneuvering, floor coverage, teamwork and effects. Routines should be presented with proper technique and appropriate performance qualities. Simple dance series that accompany the marching are allowed. Choreography and movements must show variety. Only basic baton handling and twirls are allowed, such as full hand material, finger-twirls, loops and swings. GENERAL RULES - No releasing/tossing of the baton is permitted. - NO release/catch exchanges are allowed. - ONLY hand to hand exchanges are permitted. - Kneeling is not allowed. - Every member of the group must use a baton. - Intentional grounding of the baton is prohibited. - Minimum of 10 members - Entrance must be from the left of the judges and exit to the right. - A salute is required at the beginning and the end of the routine by one or more members.
